Our policy lasts 15 days. If 15 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
- To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, unopened, undamaged and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
- To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at email@example.com and send your item to: Unit 3 The Swan Lodge on Main Road Kommetjise Kommetjie Western Province South Africa 7975.
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.
To return your product, you should mail your product registered and with a tracking number via South African Post Office to return address:

Alternatively you can contact Kommetjie Surf Shop and we will arrange for a collection. Kommetjie Surf Shop will take over the delivery costs. If you post the item yourself, we kindly ask you to email us the receipt which will be refunded to your bank account.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over R 100,00, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
All your purchases will be sent via courier booked with uAfrica. For the delivery of surf boards, SUPs and other extra large items, we kindly ask you to contact us. Depending on where the delivery goes, we will work out a quote for you. Don’t be shy – drop us an email!
If you are purchasing from outside South Africa please do not hesitate in contacting us, we will provide you with the shipping costs before placing your order.

Expected shipping times
Kommetjie Surf Shop ships daily, Monday to Friday for all orders placed before 14h.
The average shipping time will be of 2-3 days in main city centers and 2-5 days for outlying areas.
If you live in or around Kommetjie or simply prefer to collect the purchased item(s), you can collect your goods at the Kommetjie Surf Shop (Shop address: Unit 3 The Swan Lodge on Main, Kommetjie, 7975). Once you have placed the order and we have received the payment, the item will be shipped. We will provide you with a tracking number. We operate our deliveries with Dawn Wing Express Courier.
If you decide to have your package delivered within the next 24hrs of placing your order and upon receipt of payment, we will send you the package for an additional fee; this package should reach you within 24hrs. We operate with uAfrica for overnight deliveries. If you have any doubts please call us or email us, we will be more than happy to make it happen!

Receiving the goods
We would like to kindly remind you that it is your responsibility to be present at the notified time of delivery. The package needs to be signed for and if you miss the delivery time it is your responsibility to contact the carrier for the location of your package. You can use your name or the tracking number sent to you.
Unfortunately we cannot refund you for any undelivered packages if a delivery was attempted.

If we are unable to meet the estimated delivery date we shall not be liable for any losses, liabilities, costs, damages, charges or expenses arising out of late delivery. If you are unavailable to take delivery or collection, we may leave a card giving you instructions on either re-delivery or collection from the carrier.
Any delivery is subject to acts which is beyond the control of Kommetjie Surf Co. t/a Kommetjie Surf Shop due to force majeure including (but not limited to) inability to secure labour, power, internet services, GSM network connectivity, materials or supplies, or by any act of God, war, civil disturbance, riot, state of emergency, strike, lockout, or other labour disputes, fire, flood, drought or legislation.
