Meet the Holmes Brothers - Laurie and Gary, born and raised in the vibrant city of Durban, located on the East Coast of South Africa. Embracing their coastal roots, they made the most of the warm tropical climate by surfing when the waves were right and basking on the beach during downtime.
The Holmes Brothers' journey began when Laurie, at the young age of 14, found it challenging to find surfboards that perfectly matched his vision. Fueled by his passion for riding specific boards, he took matters into his own hands and started shaping his creations in the garage of their home. This pivotal moment marked the birth of the Holmes story. Soon after, a distinctive Holmes logo was born, adorning the boards Laurie crafted. The brothers saw an opportunity to extend this unique identity onto t-shirts and board shorts, igniting the growth of their brand.
